I'm not quite sure I'm able to understand "Hot" sort option. It should rank posts based on publishing time and votes right? 1)But sometimes I see months or years old posts with extremely less upvotes in my feed. 2)Posts with decent publishing time and votes do not appear in my feed and posts with extremely less votes do not fall off.

Someone correct me, but I believe it is a bug in the latest version. Saw it mentioned elsewhere that they are aware that sorting by Hot does not work. If the server is reset it will work correctly for a while. They don't have a timeline for a fix that I know of. Still very new here.

Is this also the reason why the lemmy website for my joined instance and the jerboa app have different "hot" feeds for the subscribed tab?
