Should "Allow Local Sharing" still allow packets to route through Mullvad utun interfaces if the device is on a different VLAN? (zerobytes.monster)

On MacOs using Mullvad 2024.4, I have "Allow Local Sharing Enabled". A machine on VLAN 10 at IP 192.168.10.123 tries to connect to a machine on VLAN 20 at IP 192.168.20.123.

Running traceroute -I -v 192.168.20.123 I see that the interface used is utun4. Is that expected?

Some other context:

Split tunneling is off
DNS content tracking (ads, trackers, maleware) is on
Kill switch is on
WireGuard is on
