So I was creating some Proton E-Mails. Every newly created Proton Mail is corresponded to a totally other IP-address from a totally other country than the other emails have. After some time I realised that Protonmail always recommended me to secure the account with a telephone number and they always already selected for me MY REAL COUNTRY (the one im really living in). Quick note: I typically use LibreWolf, so everything is deleted after I close the Browser. Aside I use multiple DNS Blockers and other anti-ad or tracking mechanics. Aside from Protonmail not really known for collecting/using that much of their users data, there isn't really something out there bound to me that should correspond to my multiple newly created email-identities. I've checked whether it has to do with Browser- or OS-language, but no... So I hopped on TOR and created another identity and this time they recommended me a "wrong" country as telephone option (so not my real country). So I thought: "oh ok... maybe protonmail somehow look over the single connection I have with Mullvad and therefore guess my right origin". So I activated Multihop via WireGuard and to my surprise: They were still correct with their guessing. What am I misunderstanding / doing wrong? What does TOR right, which I don't? Or is it just Protonmail secretly being the company with intentions we didn't know about... at first (i really doubt this, but i really want to know what is going on... maybe somebody can clear things up? I'd be happy to have a nice explanation)
