Honestly interested what others have to say as well. Afaik there really arent that many alternatives besides krita I think.

A long shot:
Install an Alpine or some other lightweight Linux VM on your Android device and install GIMP on it.

I'd recommend using this Termux XFCE script - it automates the whole install and you get a graphics-accelerated XFCE setup. GIMP runs just fine on it.

Krita should fit the bill for photopea. Illustrator however is a vector-based program, and I don't know any FOSS android apps for that. In a Linux environment, Inkscape would be the go-to for that.
