I live in the West Kelowna-Peachland district (side note, did that change from last year?) and Elections BC only lists BC United and BC Conservatives¹ as candidates. If another independent or party does not step up, does this mean I simply don't get a choice this election?

Your choice is either to vote right wing or run for office.

According to that website it looks like candidates still have a few weeks to get onto the ballot; I'd be surprised if by then you still don't have a left-leaning candidate.

I only have a former bc united candidate signed up in my riding.

Don’t you worry, you will have more parties join the list before the deadline.

If it comes down to it, you can show up to vote and spoil your ballot. I believe that at least gets tracked as a number, though it’s not going to move the needle in any direction.
