Anyone else also feel like we're finally going to be able to use Lemmy as intended?
Combined with lemmy.world's recent server fixes, I finally feel like Lemmy is about to be ready for its next big step, with Sync leading the charge.
I still have the old sync app, it worked once and then error 401 after closing the app..

Hmm doesn't seem like I can get to the preregister page in the austrian google play store @ljdawson@lemmy.world
Ditto for Japan. Assuming that it needs to proliferate through the ecosystems though. Copium? ๐คฃ
Edit: try opening through an external browser if you're using another application (Connect, for me). After I used Brave proper, I was able to see it, despite not being able to find it on the play store yet.

This is going to help so much in popularizing lemmy! I hope it handles the federation and instances bit good enough for fediverse newbies to join in without much friction.
Exciting news, though honestly I'm blown away by how good the Wefweg/Voyager PWA is. I'm still gonna give sync a shot to see how it feels but shoutouts to the Voyager devs for making me hesitate.
