It is even better than the US one. The US modell only has RF output which is horrible. This one has the typical AV port like the snes or n64.

The US top-loader was RF only? That's ludicrous. Why would they take a step back like that?

To make it cheaper I assume, I think it released around/after the SNES so it was like a 'NES slim', ig since Nintendo is Japanese company they went all-in for their version
