All about dogs - dog breeds, dog training and behavior, news affecting dog owners or handlers, puppy pics, etc.

Rules (Will be refined later on).

  1. Don't be a dick. This should cover most things, just keep in mind that everyone started somewhere and try to be helpful rather than rude or judgmental.

  2. No personal attacks based on training style or tools.
Discussion of balanced training including proper use of aversives is allowed here.

  3. All breeds and mixes are welcome. You can criticize backyard breeding practices but don't pile on people because they own a specific breed or prefer purebreds or mixed breeds.

  4. Do not support backyard breeders or puppy mills. Please do not link to or suggest buying from high volume breeders or those with an obvious lack of standards and testing.

  5. Do not help or support fake service animals. Please do not encourage people to buy fake service dog vest or ESA letters to get around rental or other restrictions & do not give advice on how to misrepresent a dog as a service or support animal.

I mean I've never had a Greenie, but how good could it possibly be?

Charlie is very cute! I have a dancing Chihuahua that does the same for her nighttime 'toothbrush:. She gets all 4 feet off the ground like a bull and i want to tie a little cowboy on her back.

Charlie is only half chi, but that must be where he gets it from! The other half is dachshund. He's what's usually called a chiweenie.

I have two dogs. One is a lab/collie mix and a complete suck up, while the other is a 15 year Shih Tzu who it's matter of all he surveys and is entirely spoiled (only because his brother went into congestive heart failure on a Mother's Day right after lock down, and that hit me hard)

Oh and the big one has hit my glasses a number of times and knocked them out of shape and I keep having to get them re-adjusted.

Ahhh, pets<3

I had a dog that chewed up my glasses. Plastic frames and lenses, so at least she didn’t cut herself. She also once chewed up a book someone loaned me. That was a fun explanation to give.

Do you remember the book? :D

Ahhh, pets we do love them

I do, actually.

It was an okay book, but it basically ended on a cliffhanger and I don't think a follow-up was ever written. It also suffered from way too many high-concept ideas crammed into one story.

You can have him. He insists on being petted 24/7 and he will start scratching you if you stop. Sometimes he gets my eye.

Little bastard is lucky he’s so cute.
