Remember when Canada turned away a boat full of Jewish refugees during WW2 and we had immigration officials saying shit like "None is too many" when it came to accepting Jewish refugees. Remember how we just allowed ourselves to overlook what was happening to the Jews for the sake of racism and political convenience? Or how about all disgusting things that we did to the Aboriginals and First Nations? Trudeau publicly apologized for both but seems ok with the same circumstances happening today.

You left a stable union job in media over a political disagreement... brave, stupid, but brave.
Genocide is a “political disagreement” now?
Christ, liberals really are going full fascist. You can’t make this shit up.
Yes, or, read the article before commenting.
When it's apartheid and genocide (something on the order of 10% of the people of Gaza have been killed so far including reasonable estimates of deaths from starvation and disease) I'm not really too concerned about whether or not they call it "colonialism."
I see that the CBC was inconsistent in its preference for a neutral point of view.
I don't expect this was the first time. Maintaining that neutrality is challenging in a world very much changed since Walter Cronkite simply read the news without any editorializing.
To be neutral is not to ask why this time was any more egregious than others. I hope this journalist's next job will better align with requirements, although, once outed as not impartial, jobs may be harder to get.
Perhaps Arfa Rana should inform Mizrahi Jews and other native-born Israelis that they are "colonizers". I'm certain they would find her POV enlightening.
