... the Bloc's OAS plan as originally written is likely a non-starter because it sends more generous payouts to wealthy seniors.

Can someone explain why wealthy seniors need more money at a cost of many billions of dollars per year from taxpayers who are not wealthy, working, and struggling as it is?

The Liberals proposed increases in other areas of support that focus on seniors who might actually need the money, but that was rejected. Why does this "news" make it seem like the Liberals are the bad ones here?
