Noem had once been on Trump’s shortlist for vice president, though her relationship with Trump shifted after the negative rollout surrounding the publication of her book. In it, she revealed that she once killed her 14-month-old wirehair pointer, Cricket, when she was not displaying the signs of an ideal hunting dog.

Oh yes. Of course it's a good idea to put a PUPPY KILLER as law enforcement.

Cops kill thousands of pets every year, so she'll be a shoo-in.

Well she does have hands on experience with managing a highly volatile border already.

South Dakota's Mexican border is legendary for cartel activity.

It's the meth heads from north dakota that are giving her all that experience. (to be clear south dakota is worse. but the north dakotans take her meth. and that's just unforgivable.)

It's okay to kill dogs. Just not to eat dogs.

Need a sadistic sociopath to play the part of Hermann Göring of course. Expect to hear about her "willingness to do what needs to be done" a lot in the future.

I'd misread the summary and for a minute I thought Trump had killed her dog and she called him out in her book.

At least Congress controls the budgets, maybe they can neuter the corrupted agencies. But this turmoil in what the government does and doesn't do and how they do it is not good for anyone.

Good news for South Dakota, moderately okay news for me...
