As chatbots like ChatGPT improve, their use in our personal and even romantic lives is becoming more common. So much so, some executives in the dating app industry have begun pitching a future in which people can create A.I. clones of themselves that date other clones and relay the results back to their human counterparts

So on the .world instance, there are a lot of users who have ai girlfriends. I mentioned that it was kinda lame, and promptly got banned from the community where we were talking about. Happened several months ago.

But one of those guys STILL dm's me and stalks me on other instances. He was really really mad that I dissed ai girlfriends. Which is exactly the type of person I would imagine has an ai girlfriend. lol

What's the point of "dating" ai? Just find someone in real life. And if you can't, cool then have conversations with AI. But to say they are your girlfriend/boyfriend is strange to me.

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. But I can still think it's weird. Even if I respect your right to do it.

And I think AI dating coaches are just as lame and desperate.

The admins should be able to help with that.

I keep thinking he'll be bored and go away. We'll see. But if he doesn't I will def go the admin route.

This smells like an idea hatched from the brain of one of those people who talk to other people a bit too much and have fallen for the bullshit they were told about AI.

"Just give us all your deepest personal secrets and opinions...it is for your own good...wouldn't want your AI clone to not accurately reflect you when it tries potential partners, would you?"
