False Knees makes me think I’m part bird, because holy cow is it relatable

I find great frustration in the fact that despite helping so many others irl and basically doing no wrong for years I still have to suffer at the hands of the incompetent others.

I'm basically pissed that I'm not the source of any of my problems.

Life rarely falls into such easy categories of "no wrong" vs. "all the wrong, as in literally all of it".

And even if it did, what good would that do us?

I'm saying that being pissed at something over which you have zero control seems maladaptive. Well, it's easy to say, much harder for me to do anything about it myself, besides talk the good talk, but now let's see if I can manage the walk as well!:-)

I hope our frustrations will at least lessen as we increasingly take control over what is within our purview.

It seems to me like you should try and acquire great enough power that you can help all those you can and punish all those who do you wrong; or who do the world wrong. Take control of the world and rule it; with a virtue without which terror would be grim, and terror without which virtue would be powerless.

I'm also trying to do that, but there can be only one. See you at the top!

Very demonstrably the majority of people would rather commit self harm than vote for moral people who know what they’re doing.

Who said anyhing about voting?

If you want to take power with violence then you are exactly the type of person who should never have any form of power.

Not even the power of friendship?

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Especially that one. You could weaponize even that.

Oh no, without the power of friendship I am forced to begin a villain arc, which will only end in me conquering the world with te power of hatred. Or being killed by a hero while trying. Or being confronted by a hero, but instead of killing me he tells me a speech about how he's just like me and he keeps having flashbacks of a swing and then I am convinced to die heroically or something.
