So many people warn me about going to mainland China because (despite being a nobody) they might "use you as a political pawn". Meanwhile Chinese are getting the fuck out of the US because they know they're about to be used as political pawns.

There's nothing sacred. They are going to infect and weaponize everything to prolong the Hegemon. Every social issue, every scientific field, every medium of entertainment, everything. We can only pray that they are not going to threaten human extinction.
