I'm sure that it can be useful for a lot of people but for me magnifier's popup (on android) always getting in a way and makes text selection so much harder.

Is there any way to disable this feature, any entry in about:config for that, I'd like to turn it off browser wise?

Thanks @phorq@lemmy.ml, solution:

  • about:config
  • layout.accessiblecaret.magnifier.enabled
  • false

Yeah, if you have the nightly version of Firefox for Android you can access about:config and toggle layout.accessiblecaret.magnifier.enabled it looks like

I'm pretty sure it's a global Android feature that doesn't have anything to do with Firefox specifically.

Is this the same magnifier that pops up in other apps? Like if you open an email app, or your text app, does it popup when you select text there? If so it's an android feature, not a Firefox one
