These don’t count, silly.

When the US does it, each case is an individual, isolated, aberrant deviation from the norm, indicative of no pattern.

When “authoritarian” states do it, that’s completely different. Each of those cases is indicative of the malevolent norm.

It took me two days to treat this article, because it was so disheartening and I had to keep putting it aside. It's two years old and nothing has changed for the better.
