The turning point? Not really. The Axis’s fate was already sealed in December 1941, when it failed the Battle of Moscow and the highly anticipated blitzsieg never happened. The Axis’s defeat at Stalingrad certainly helped the Soviets, but the decisive battle was earlier than that.

That's fair, I'd say Stalingrad was the point where it become clear even to the Germans themselves that they lost the war.
I'd say the real decisive battle was the battle of Smolensk in August 1941, because German timetable for invasion failed and they were forced into the war of attrition.
