Take it back, with the docket. The cashier will be able to remove the tag. The docket is essential.

Ugh… I forgot and washed new items in with others and it’s transferred a chemical stink to them. Almost all of that type of clothing and the most annoying for me to replace. -_- Trying to remove the smell with baking soda and vinegar.
To add insult to injury the new clothing isn’t all that great. It better not have ruined my usual stuff
