Yeah. So not a good idea

Fuck Colesworth. Having a disability and requiring both generic brands and delivery makes it hard to have other options… but don’t think I haven’t noticed the gouging, or how toothless the recent trust busting measures were.

I don’t know anything from experience but be careful. I heard that in America places like Target will literally wait and let you ‘get away with it’ until it reaches some cumulative amount where they can charge you with a felony.

What an odious woman.

If she’s so concerned about people in poverty I have a few ideas… but that’s just a smokescreen for wanting things that will bolster her own wealth and further her agenda.

My back door has a weirdly elevated door frame so I can’t even chuck a door snake on it. It has to be a giant rolled up beach towel and still doesn’t work

Deaths of despair and/or social murder! ☝️ (Due to Shit Life Syndrome)

And yeah… India has already been experiencing 50C heat waves

Nah, it was my really poor phrasing. What was being thought was not what got typed

Agreed. It's not looking good. I also hope against hope that it doesn't affect meat, eggs and milk supply

Sorry, I meant from human to human and instead said that

My bad

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 4 points 3 months ago

I agree. Probably going to be a repeat of the last time. It worries me because of my immune system and also avian flu can be fatal to cats.

There were even those temporary structures/tents outside of hospitals in Australia. Saw them locally, none of the behaviours changed though.

I really really hope that this virus doesn't also jump to humans and force us to deal with strollouts and noncompliant people again...

I really don't want to do this again

Damn, Power And Water cracked down on bottle-sharing now? /s

That's how corporations nickel and dime you. I resist subscription services almost completely (I pay for cloud backup storage for my phone in case of breakage/theft and that's it) because as well as being a constant financial drain they inevitably degrade and enshittify, often even removing things you paid for

I saw that they weren't going to go ahead last year, but now apparently there will be a pilot.

This is paraphrasing and may need fact checking. However from what I've seen of the situation in America this can have a greater than 50% mortality rate, affects humans cats and other animals, and is spreading through cows. It seems to be global however Australia seems to be one of the few places still free of it so far.

If we get an outbreak here it's going to be similar to covid with the masks and disinfection, with the added recommendation of eye protection, and the issue of it affecting the safety of eggs and milk.

It doesn't seem to pass from human to human yet? But while we seem to be in the clear for now, let's watch our butts just in case that flip occurs and it gets over here on people or migrating birds.

It could be really sensible to do things like keep chickens and pet birds away from wild birds, wash hands after handling birds, use masks, be careful of having bird feeders, keep cats inside to not hunt birds... you know. Just use caution.

This is a day old. But if you see this, are in NSW and have those specific pies check the date on them
