College Republicans of America President Will Donahue in a statement invited Barron Trump to join their organization:

Conservatives have literally always been monarchists. The philosophy was founded on defending monarchy and aristocracy.

True. The core is power over others through rigid hierarchies of societal power, with each tier smaller than those below it, with morality and human value derived from one's tier. It's antithetical to any kind of meritocracy.
