Original Title: TIL in 2016, Mozart sold more CDs than Beyoncé. This was due to the release of a box set commemorating the 225th anniversary of Mozart’s death including 200 discs per set. Each disc counted as a separate sale, propelling Mozart ahead of contemporary artists in CD sales the year.
