Hi,

I would like to show keyboard shortcuts being pressed while recording my screen with Spectacle on KDE neon 6.3, and I found apps that could do that but not on Wayland...

Does anyone know any ?

Thank you

I found one that works when I needed it, IIRC it's called screenkey, it works on Wayland but I think it needs to run as root for this to work.

I don't know where to get it but it was in AUR if you use Arch.

Hi,

The official README says :

Screenkey cannot currently capture any input directed to native Wayland programs

🤔

Hmm, maybe when I tested the programs I ran were not native Wayland, or I'm missing something.

Sorry.

This one advertises support for wayland, try it out maybe?

That's interesting, unfortunately there's no packaging at all for Debian-based distros 😭

There are deb packages for aosc os (whatever that is 😄) and all deps are probably in the repos, so maybe it can help.

Found it : https://repo.aosc.io/debs/pool/stable/main/s/showmethekey_1.14.0-0_amd64.deb

No luck though :

$ sudo apt install ./showmethekey_1.14.0-0_amd64.deb
[sudo] password for kaki:

Hmm, I'm looking for the URL of their APT repository but I'm not finding it 🤔
