β€œI’ll wear a costume like yours when the war is over,”

Zelenskys the man.

Just in case, consider that "costume" has been probably used because that's the word in Ukrainian "ΠšΠΎΡΡ‚ΡŽΠΌ" (read almost the same as the English word, but with the accent on the u).

I found funnier when he said, "maybe something better".

I found funnier when he said, "maybe something better".

That was a great line.

He's a stand up comic, I'm sure he had some things he could have said but he didn't rise to the bait.

It's a shame that Trump doesn't have half as much wits, class or bravery as Zelenskyy.

I know that. Translating into that is fun, but really his reply is perfect as a whole. Doesn't matter which way it's translated, the meaning is loud and clear.

A true leader of his people

Man, I hope this is the start of suits becoming uncool. They're like high heels for men; humans deserve mobility.

I only wear suits when I have to, but I've worked in "suit environments" many years. Suits have many purposes, like hiding the truly horrible bodies that some have, Trump is an example. They also prevent people from showing up to work in garish or outlandish outfits which may be distracting or offensive to some. Also, they make dressing up to go to work really simple.

That said, I live in a place that has really hot summers, like 40C+, and wearing a suit in summer is really uncomfortable, even those linen summer suits. It'd be great if there were a number of accepted formal attires. For hot weather I like the caribbean "Guayabera"

I know that I judge people for wearing them.

His "I'm not playing cards" comeback was very strong as well.

Dammit, i was hoping it was that muttered "...fuck's sake" (paraphrased)

They should have made this in Ukrainian as well.

It probably wouldn't be as funny in Ukrainian. In English it sounds like he's mocking Trump's suit as a costume but costume (ΠΊΠΎΡΡ‚ΡŽΠΌ) is literally the Ukrainian word for suit. ;)

is that fuck off you cheeto haired russian cockholster? oh wait maybe thats what I wanted to say when seeing the "meeting".
