I think that depends largely on somebody's "join" date. If they're under 6 months old, they probably got banned/censored from Reddit. If they joined in the last 6-12 months, it's probably because of Reddit's AI policies. If they joined 12-18 months ago, it was probably due to the API changes shutting down third-party apps. If they're older than that, then they're probably just tankies.

God, I wish. But I heard reddit even grew when 3rd party API was banned. Why would it be different this time?
For that to be on the boring dystopia subreddit is pretty funny ngl
many subs are probably infilitrated by the admins themselves or the mods that have direct ties to admins.
