Original Title: TIL in 1983 Albert Rizzo set the WR for the longest time treading water at 108 hours. He performed the feat in the sea at Gżira in Malta, eating only liquid food. He extended his record to 132 hours in 1984 before the Guinness Book of Records stopped monitoring the record in 1986 due to its danger.
