... anything I should be prepared to miss? I think there's pretty much just two things that are risky that I've gotten used to just working: NFC payments and streaming audio to my Tidal Connect -enabled network streamer. Should I be prepared for those not working?

I am also considering switching from an iPhone to a fairphone (or potentially something else privacy-friendly). So far I've heard that banking apps might be a problem. Also digital identification software feels like something that might be restricted on an alternative OS or a more open device. Does unlocking the bootloader mess with these things?

I would imagine streaming services that allow downloads might be restrictive about what they run on. Many of them do allow downlods, I know Spotify, Netflix, and most audiobook apps do at least. But I really have no idea, and would be really happy to hear from somebody with experience.

Make sure your banking apps support it.

Honest question: are you referring to their apps or nfc payments? The entire play store is still available to e/os but I haven't tried contact less payments yet. (I'm only two weeks into my iPhone to e/os journey)

Both. Many banking apps don't work on a custom ROM. Same with Google Pay. But I still would test it. Maybe something changed.

The three banking apps I use all work. Obviously your mileage will vary but it's been fine for me.
