I just can’t seriously believe how fucking stupid things are here in the US.

President Cringe-Lord and co-President Donald Cunt have done unbelievably awful things to the core of our democracy - and it feels like no one cares.

The “Free Speech” snowflake is using his power to delete anything he disagrees with on any site he can put pressure on. (Reddit, Twitter, or WH announcements)

Checking out twitter for the first time today, I saw nazis and genocide posts within seconds of opening a new feed. His influence over public discourse is insanely obvious and incredibly hateful. Yet, people are still willing to buy the merch and cut off family for the sake of the cult.

This doesn’t feel real, we can’t be this obviously ignorant. It just feels like the universe is playing a joke on me

Not the Truman show, more like some dystopian hellscape novel. I'm thinking 1984 + Handmaids Tale + Brave New World all wrapped up into one shitty reality

At this point, this is just a neverending panic circlejerk. Things are bad, sure, but everyone here knows that already - could it be time to spread the word elsewhere, where it could make an impact instead of being one of, like, half Lemmy posts saying the absolute same thing?

You know full well you're not alone here, and your question is purely rhetorical to use the off-topic community to slid in the same thing again.
