I hate that I have to explicitly state that I’m not trolling or asking disingenuously to rile you up… but what did he actually achieve with this stunt? What makes him a hero for doing this?

I don’t see it as him being a hero, but this is arguably the first obstructionist act that any democratic senator has done this Congress. Cory Booker took and held the floor for no reason other than to stop all senate business for 25 hours, that’s not nothing.

Acts of resistance start small and by physically exhausting himself as far as he could take it, I think for some people it will be inspiring.
