As you say these are probably serviceable but I would not expect anything unique or spectacular. The nibs look identical if not interchangeable with the various budget stamped steel Chinese ones. If you're lucky it'll be a commodity #5 or #6 nib you can yank off and replace with something else if you need more flex or a fancier material. It seems like the entire $20 budget has probably been spent on the body of these.

@01189998819991197253 doing a tiny bit of research, it seems that they’re mostly known for EDC-style pens. The fountain pen isn’t even on their site.
For $20 I would probably stick with a better-known FP brand. What specific requirements do you have?
No leaking and smooth writing, mainly. Honestly, I just liked the simplistically sleek look of the pen. I currently have a Hongdian M2, which I love. But I wanted one for work, and this one just looked nice. I am, however, open to suggestions. Currently, my budget is capped at around $25 after shipping (low, I know, but it is what it is).
Edit: it is on the site (where I got the picture), but fp is definitely not their forté.
@01189998819991197253 In this price range I'd suggest looking at Pilot Lightive or Platinum Plaisir.
