Humans are like this with all sorts of stuff. Capsaicin? Nicotine? Hook me up. Dangerous animal? Hey that shit’s fancy let’s put it where people can look at it. Dangerous environment? Let’s go there that sounds fun as hell.

Humans are great. Humans are monsters. Mostly, humans aren’t done yet, but we’re trying.

Explanation: While use of coffee beans originated in Ethiopia, it was the Arabs of the 15th century AD who discovered that it could be brewed into a drink. While I'm not a coffee drinker myself, both an appreciation for the historical importance of the drink and the fantastic smell makes me thankful for the discovery as well! Truly the world's first step into modernity 🙏

Do you have a source concerning this innovation being made by Arabs? I was puzzled as to what Ethiopians were doing with coffee before, and I couldn't find any answer.
