Just saw this update in the Play Store. Thank you for coming back to continue updates. Connect is still my preferred Lemmy app.

What's New:

Fixed

  • Upgraded various libraries
  • Fixed an issue with thumbnails apppearing blurry
  • Fixed a bug where links without any protocol prefix would crash
  • Increased the cache size from 100 objects to 200

Does this fix the issue where the app takes over audio even if you have it muted?

Honestly the all works great except this one issue which is really frustrating and pushing me to considering finding something better.

No worries, I did post about it within another thread on here but it must've gotten missed.

To clarify if I open something with sound it will open muted but still take over my audio and pause what I was listening to. If I resume what I was listening to and then press play again, it will pause it again :)

Seconding this. I had it today as well, and it was slightly annoying. It's only a minor thing (for me) though. I love this app, I've tried other ones, but none of them felt as familiar and clean as Connect.
