They make it look so easy, meanwhile you’re sittin over here with clown makeup
WomensStuff
Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.
Rules…
- Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Any woman-identified person under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is welcome.
- Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
- Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
- No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
When I was learning my makeup a few years ago (transfemme, had never touched a makeup brush before 2022) I loaded up 4 TikTok instances on my PC and watched 4 tutorials at 2x speed at a time for about 2 hours.
I like to think that exposing myself to 16 hours worth of tutorials over a 2 hour period is why I can do my makeup as Well as I can today.
I've never managed to make my make up look 5% as good as they do. They make it look easy 😢
too real 😭
Tried applying blush today for the second time. Soon as I turn my camera on I realize I look like a clown 🤡
You gotta 1) invest in nice brushes and nice makeup with good formulas and 2) trust the process! It always looks heinous until it doesn't.
That's why I've always done things by intuition and reference, bit by bit.
I could never keep focus on doing a tutorial 😭.
