Do themes not work for anyone else? (lemm.ee)

I'm trying out the eternity app and liking a lot of things so far. I really enjoy customizing the look of lemmy apps but so far seem to have pretty limited outcome with choosing a theme. I can pick dark or light mode but if I choose a premade theme or try to create one, it doesnt change anything.

edit: also, collapsing comments only collapses the vote buttons and not text 😬

After installing the theme, set it as the light theme, dark theme, or both for it to apply.

You can do that in the theme settings.

Yeah, the themes are messed up for some reason, now that I think about it I might check it out and see if there is anything I can fix or improve

Most of the options and layout are great and the scroll is very smooth. The only thing besides custom themes I would love is a long swipe in addition to each short swipe.

Think what I had to do was export theme from infinity Then import it to eternity , but idk haven't messed with it in awhile

It works for me but it wasn't straightforward. It needed some janky messing about there. Like try to edit the theme and then apply it or something.
