Lower the TTL in time then 😎

Make sure your current TTL isn't 24hrs at least 24hrs ahead of time... I've seen so many disorganized migrations have to get delayed due to the lack of forethought.

This is the way!

  • Drop TTL down to 300
  • Wait for old TTL duration to expire
  • Make changes
  • Set TTL to something more reasonable
  • Realise ‘DNS Propagation’ is a misnomer
  • ???

For some reason Cloudflare DNS changes are way faster than anything else I've tried. I'm more of a networking layman but I assume it's because they're an influential and well-connected node that others trust faster.
