What is Critical Role?

Critical Role is a group of nerdy-ass voice actors who sit around and play Dungeons & Dragons.

Streams every Thursday at 7pm PT and then rebroadcasts the following Friday at 12am and 9am PT on Twitch.

PSSST... don't tell @darringtonpress I said this, but you don't HAVE to own their special dice to play Candela Obscura, you just need different colored d6s. But the new CO d6 are cool. @criticalrole

I was fortunate enough to have tickets to play Candela at GenCon this year. Part of the experience was a complimentary set of their dice, which was fun. My wife and I each got a set for free!

I can appreciate 6-sided dice making it more accessible to everyone. Everyone having their own dice is always good for playing without a digital tabletop (which are suited for all varieties of dice rolls automatically). If I'm not mistaken, the Candela system is a modified version of Blades in the Dark.

@Ultragramps it's not officially a forged in the dark game but it's pretty close. And Johnathan Harper said he was cool with it
