From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Greetings, If someone here has a GPD Win 1, which Linux distro do you currently use on it? I use GPD Pocket's Ubuntu MATE image. It works, but not flawlessly...

Try installing the newest kernel available as that's where hardware support comes from. Since you're on an Ubuntu based distro - you could use somerthing like ukuu. Or just switch to a more rolling release type of distro.

I have a GPD micro running Archlinux just fine. HDMI was flaky, but I havent tested it in a while.

Fedora 38 works pretty flawless out of the box on mine. I think that is because one of the original people that got Linux running on the GPD1 is a Fedora developer.
