Mildly Interesting

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

Pretty neat looking artistry, but keep your glass bottles off the beach please.

While I agree, how the hell do people break bottles on the beach of all places?

Combined with alcohol.

They leave them or worse, bury them. Then someone steps on one and gets an ER trip.

And this is why we can't have nice things.

I don't even want to carry bottles to the beach. Bottles are for at home, cans for travel.

Without a base; without a trace.

"Hold my beer..."

But I guess you could try something like this...

[–] lurch@sh.itjust.works 6 points 3 weeks ago

A tripod like bottom would work in sand and on flat surfaces.

Sticking a cold beer into hot sand is defeating the purpose and every single beach in my state has outlawed glass containers...and rightfully so.

Yeah, that was my first thought, that it'd be some way of avoiding glass and plastic at the beach...

It's sand, it molds to the shape of whatever you shove into it. Or many beach chairs have cupholders.

Dude, at first I was like omg what an ingenious design! Then you said this and I was like oh yeah, we don't need a new design! So simple!

I mean... This hot summer, I'd take a cold fucking beer. Kind of wish I were a woman though... Don't want to lose anything to the void.

Everyone knows that sand can hold a beer bottle already, right? Or a beer can. It's sand.

You don't need to make it pointy shaped for sand to hold a bottle.

People already put beer bottles and cans up their asses, and have since the days of wooden beer bottles.
