which works with existing Cat5e cable

Lmfao, sounds like a pretty standard thing for a 2.5Gb switch to do lol

[–] metaStatic@kbin.social 20 points 11 months ago

it's literally the entire point of 2.5G. you don't have to replace the wires in the walls.

To be fair, Cat5e is hassle-free 😂

Until a rodent chews through it.

Why is the lady second from the left holding a giant phone?

[–] MajorHavoc@lemmy.world 20 points 11 months ago

I hope this is a sign of the future of advertising with AI generated stock images. I can't wait to see a full length commercial with an attractive person enjoying a refreshing Pepsi in each of their three hands.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 13 points 11 months ago (3 children)

Isn't she holding the switch, the product being advertised? She's probably AI generated which is why her hands are fubar.

[–] Damage@slrpnk.net 5 points 11 months ago

The thing she's holding has rounded corners, the switch doesn't

[–] thisNotMyName@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

If that switch is that big, it should have a few more arguments than "works with cat 5e" :D

[–] Land_Strider@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It feels like all of the people except the last one is AI generated. Look at how they hold the phones. Who uses only their thumb, index and middle fingers to hold and use a phone like the 3rd person does?

[–] FQQD@feddit.de 0 points 11 months ago

Who doesn't honestly

[–] ares35@kbin.social 11 points 11 months ago (2 children)

it's the upcoming iPhone SSE Plus Max XXXXXL

[–] MajorHavoc@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

Nice. I heard the next Samsung will be the same size, but have a slightly larger bevel around the screen, but we will have to wait a year for it. /s

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

It's also the same form-factor as the iPhone Max 3 generations in the future, and the iPhone Mini in 3 generations.

[–] thisNotMyName@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago

That's the mystery to solve

[–] dojan@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago (2 children)

And what the hell is going on with her hands??

[–] DigitalPaperTrail@kbin.social 4 points 11 months ago

didn't Amazon roll out their service to generate AI images for sellers to advertise their products recentish? or that might still be in the works

[–] don@lemm.ee 2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I think it might be some kind of terminal that she’s standing in front of, while using her thumbs to input data. Her left hand pinky isn’t in frame.

[–] dojan@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Lady has velociraptor claws

[–] don@lemm.ee 3 points 11 months ago

Not an unreasonable assumption.

[–] metaStatic@kbin.social 8 points 11 months ago

2.5g isn't real, it can't hurt you.

[–] Fiivemacs@lemmy.ca 6 points 11 months ago (1 children)

This is marketed to impulse buys and idiots.

There is a good reason I don't amazon anything anymore.

[–] thisNotMyName@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

Best price I could find for a 2.5 with 8 ports from a non-chinese company

[–] x4740N@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Why does the guy look like Walmart Adam Driver
