There's a doctor that will recommend starving instead of controlling your diet?

People have been fasting for way longer than a week without starving. Starvation doesn't happen voluntarily, and it doesn't happen under the eyes of a doctor.

If your choices are living with the consequences of obesity and a week of controlled ketosis, it's on you to decide which way to take.

Comparing a one week fast with starvation seems hyperbolic, to say the least.
