Meta will not launch its new Twitter rival, Threads, in Ireland or the EU for the foreseeable future. It is being released in the US and the UK on Thursday of this week as an alternative to Twitter.

Did nobody here read the article? This is sensationalized as hell lol. They aren't blocking the app, it just hasn't gone through GDPR approval. They rushed the launch to beat Twitter to a usable product, but it will definitely be released in the EU after they figure all that out.
