The content is worse and so is the relevancy. They way over generalize queries now, most likely for caching, and they end up ignoring half the keywords you're looking for.

Yup. With help from Pinterest, Houzz, and the like, as well, for images.

Then you add all the AI generated crap. Last time I tried to compare phone spec all I could find were AI generated with the same errors. Hallucinations. About one or two capabilities and the same thoughts structure describing the differences. It looks human but you can tell. I expect it to get a lot worst before it get better.

I use gsmarena.com to compare specs

Good website

Yea. It's fully algorithm driven, and the algorithm prefers advertising and sites that corporate with Google in some way.

Google gives the most results, but most of the results are useless.

I use DuckDuckGo and it has become just as awful as Google. What are the alternatives? Is Brave any good?

I noticed the search results quickly going downhill a little over a year ago and it hasn't gotten any better. Initially, I thought I was just getting dumber for not being able to specify what I was looking for, but now it's driving me mad. Whatever I search for in 90% of the cases it's bullshit that floats to the top.

I'm dealing with this too. Idk what to use as an alternative. Can we federate search? Lol
