I think that might be a server issue with the instance you're on. I noticed that images were taking a long time to load in for me this morning, and before they would, they'd show up as the blurry thumbnail like in your screenshot. I'm not sure if there's much that can be done on the user's end to remedy that, though.

I'm using megalodon and sometimes this happens when pictures are loading after a refresh. Could be that the server is slow.
