Happens to me sometimes, but I’m always running betas and it’s rare these days. If you bought them used I’d make sure that you fully reset them to clear out previous iCloud’s.

Bought them new. It started happening when I migrated to a new phone.

Tried this 4 times and it did nothing. Oddly enough, 5th time worked. Weird.

I would remove them and pair them again. They are 3 separate devices 2 pods and a case. It is possible they can get in a state where one of the items isn’t correctly associated with find my and is treated at not the owners device. This is also important to fix if you ever what to use find my to find the individual parts.
