Yep. That's the monitor screen - last legs at best. At the point where distro hopping is impossible because the main screen is unusable and I can't even use GRUB anymore.
Time to turn it into a server

I tried this with an ancient laptop and the port broke physically but yes I agree with modern laptops if you got a dock option utilize it.
