So I know the easy answer is from steam/gog/epic or what ever else but I can't imagine all game repackers are doing this for financial or ethical reasons.

I do remembered one group in matrix telling me about a Russian site that uploads untouched games but can't remember the name.

Any links to trust worthy sources?

From the scene? They are repacking scene releases?

some might but most avoid scene releases when they can and instead follow crack instructions or patch steam drm

Dodi and fitgirl both use scene releases as their base. Even says so with their releases. I'd assume they likely have top site access or they have a connection to someone who does. Same is true for the repackers on the private sites I use.

Yea I'm sure many do but ive spoken to a group and they've said they'll try and avoid scene releases when they can opting for cs.rin.ru

I would imagine dodi and fitgirl when repacking gog or steam DRM games they'd sooner use cs.rin.ru

P2P releases can come from anywhere. If you are worried about viruses and malware, it's probably best to avoid them even though the danger is still very low.

Scene releases are almost always purchased legitimately by the group for cracking. The most popular repackers usually use scene releases as their source.
