*to

Using "too" with two O's makes it mean either "stab you excessively death" or "stab you also death" lol

[-] lugal@sopuli.xyz 3 points 4 months ago

POV: It doesn't matter if you use one or too O's. This is a free country

[-] MrJameGumb@lemmy.world 13 points 4 months ago

It does too matter! It changes the meaning of the entire sentence from one thing to another! I don't think my comment is asking too much here...

To much? You want me to go somewhere called "Much"? Where is that? Is it a website or something?

Or perhaps you're suggesting that I transition to a state of "muchness"? I'm afraid I don't know how to go about that...

[-] lugal@sopuli.xyz 1 points 4 months ago

To much: I much, you much, it muches, we much, you much, they much, I muched, ...

It's a verb, stupid

[-] MrJameGumb@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago

Well, there's no need to be rude! I was just trying to make a point! If our roles were reversed you'd probably do the same thing too!

Gosh, sometimes this site is just too much...

[-] lugal@sopuli.xyz 1 points 4 months ago

Well, the roles will never be reversed because I don't correct people for minor typos. This is the internet, no need for proof reading, it just makes people look bad and doesn't add anything to the conversation

I think you're taking this way too seriously dude...

Capitalism breeds profit-maximizing innovation which is not the same as product-quality innovation.

Early on this meant fins on your boxy car and special clappers in your car door to make them sound more rugged when they're slammed closed.

Later on innovation meant creative ways to bribe elected officials so they'd refuse to pass safety laws, or allow for effective law suits when too many people died horribly from collisions.

It meant pressuring officials to pass laws requiring so much parking per retail location that cities automatically became a sprawl that required everyone have a personal vehicle.

And innovation included bunches of ways to stay pollution control measures while they were resisted in the federal courts. In the meantime I was choking on smog every day in hazy Los Angeles.

When we finally got cars that produced less soot and carbon monoxide, capitalist innovation meant automotive computers that detected when they were being smog checked and would fake being within limits (looking at you, Volkswagon).

Oh and of course capitalist innovation included the suppression of reports on the effects of greenhouse gasses on climate, until it became a crisis, and a major population correction in the next century is inevitable. (Efforts we make now to fix it are all damage control.)

i already like you solely based on how anticapitalist you seem to be ,

If libertarians could read, they'd blame the government as usual.

But seriously, I can't count the number of times they always blame the government for merely existing for being bribed. Like, what is that even supposed to mean? I don't follow the logic. You're not supposed to offer bribes to the government in the first place or you even give one when asked, you bloody bollocks!

[-] umbrella@lemmy.ml 4 points 4 months ago

ruins the atmosphere

[-] Vespair@lemm.ee 6 points 4 months ago

You shouldn't do that; that's too much death.

You should only stab somebody with an appropriate amount of death to kill them; anything beyond that is just excessive death

[-] Smorty@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 4 months ago

Capitalism breeds innovation, besides when it's profitable to not breed innovation. Which unfortunately is the case a lot of the time.

[-] pjb@lemmy.spacestation14.com 5 points 4 months ago

50 generations of inbreeding later:

[-] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 3 points 4 months ago

That's not very innovative. People have been stabbed to death plenty of the times. Do something new and fun.
