NRG files are one of the Nero CD burner app's proprietary file type. Should check to see if the app can convert it and if not....burn it to a DVD?

I'm not too familiar with vDos or converting .nrg to iso. I'm sure you can find software to do that.
Another option would be to use DosBox and mount the image on a virtual drive that DosBox can access. Then install the game like you would on DOS.

That might be a solid solution. I think I was a bit intimidated by the (relative) complexity of DosBox compared to vDos, but it seems like a reasonable way to go about it. Thanks for the link! That makes it much easier.
Only thing I see keep popping up is a program called any burn and o concern it. Probably easier to just find the iso or bin/cue instead.
