Can something like f3 be run on the Steam Deck itself to check for fake SD cards?
Steam Deck
A place to discuss and support all things Steam Deck.
Replacement for r/steamdeck_linux.
As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:
[Flair] My post title
The following is a list of suggested flairs:
[Discussion] - General discussion.
[Help] - A request for help or support.
[News] - News about the deck.
[PSA] - Sharing important information.
[Game] - News / info about a game on the deck.
[Update] - An update to a previous post.
[Meta] - Discussion about this community.
Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:
- Follow the rules of Sopuli
- Posts must be related to the Steam Deck in an obvious way.
- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.
- This is a place of civil discussion, no trolling.
- Have fun.
Sd is linux so likely
When did they come out with 5TB SD cards?
Wishful thinking? And fat thumbs on a phone kb
Warning: The 1TB versions are 65% off their never actually used price of $300. They are only a couple bucks cheaper today than yesterday, and I opted not to buy one because that's just shady behavior on Amazon's part.
Tools like CamelCamelCamel can help you avoid getting scammed by Jeffery!
Jeffrey regularly forces CCC to omit certain sales from price history. This means that while you can definitely use CCC to see that an SD card was only ever $300 five years ago when it first released, it also means that if the history chart makes it out to seem like the current price is the lowest price ever, it may be missing the fact that the item regularly dips to that price during the last several sales.
TIL. That's not cool.
I just snagged a 256gb pro endurance for $19.99. It's for my dashcam, already got a TB in the deck.
Saw this for $35. Any reason I should go with something more expensive? I recall a post last week where people mentioned a Samsung Evo.
The samsung is not much more and much better quality
Maybe long term, but other than that they're extremely similar. Same specs and while Samsung makes the flash memory I prefer, the Amazon Basics ones are made by the company that bought Lexar and makes the drive in the 64gb Deck.
