a mended tote bag with different stitches

The white and green longer ones are fishbone stitch, really practical and not too long or difficult to make.
The long blue blob is a web stitch, I like it a lot, but the thread I used was a nightmare to work with.
The small blue blob is an interlaced backstitch, I wouldn't use it on anything too wide, but also, you need a big enough circumference for the outer backstitching, it may otherwise look bad. Idk, it looks good but has maybe a limited range.

Neat! I love visible mending. Did you use those stitches to cover up holes? Anything behind them like interfacing? The fishbone one reminds me of a fancy hair braid my friend used to do when we were kids.

Yes, there are tears and holes behind the stitches. I didn't back it with anything, just whipped stitched the holes shut and added some extra stitches where I felt it might fray open. This is just a tote bag and usually they aren't filled with much so I'm not too worried. And if it still breaks, well, it's just a tote bag, my friend probably has replacements.
I know those braids ! I never has the patience to finish them but they do look cool.

Really like the look of that fishbone stitch but it strikes me as something that might take a bit of practise to get looking right, much like my currently very shoddy satin stitch! Yours is lovely though :D

Do you have any tote bag in need of repair ? :) If you look closely at mine, you can see that it's not perfect, fishbone stitch is forgiving.
Also, satin stitch is deceptively hard, you need perfect tension all the way, I don't like it.
