Apologies as I’m still learning the new platform and am unclear on specific terminology.

Is there a way to search within a specific community? Once I navigate to somewhere like the News community on lemmy.world, is there a way to search within that community?

To further clarify, in Reddit terms, searching within a specific subreddit. The lemmy equivalent.

Thanks!

On the website, the search form lets you pick a community.

It seems for me that after you search it resets the option to show "All", but the results are correctly filtered to the community I selected.

It's flawed at the moment. Like the other comments says there is a search feature. I would suggest using google:

For instance: site:example.com query (Without the **)

The native search is not the best, and google is not really good at dealing with the federated aspect, but you can use this site https://search-lemmy.com/
